THE BIRTH OF THE FEDERATION PROJECT

The Birth of the Federation Project is simply the name I've given to my current Star Trek mission. To bring the 3d models from the Star Trek game of the same name to you in the form of papermodels. I think there's 59 models in total. You'll be able to build a range of ships from the four main races: Klingon, Cardassain(I'll get an image soon), Romulan and Federation. As well as this there'll be some 16 ships from the minor races.

I wanted to do this a long time ago but had trouble getting the games meshes into a format I could use. Then I stumbles across a forum for game modders, a guy there was announcing that he'd succesfully exported the meshes as .OBJ files which was what I needed. I e-mailed him and asked if he'd be kind enough to send them to me and explained why. The man said yes, So now I've got to put the work in to get them to you. I only know the man as ~zDarby, If he happens to visit this site I'd like to thank him for his work and kindness. I couldn't of done this without him.

The rendered images don't do justice here to the textures of these models, they're great. the models themselves are very basic but I think the textures will make up for that.
